Zebra Zone

Welcome to school!

We are looking forward to seeing all of the new zebras for the 2017-2018 school year.  We welcome the following children into our zebra family: Karmyn, Alana, Cohen, Micheal, Saylor, Olivea, Nicolas, Gael, Jeremiah, Artemio, Annabelle, and Leon.  We have 12 zebras in all.

Staggered entry and home visits coming up

Your child will come to school for a short time during what we call staggered entry - from 9-10:30 am - on one of three days - August 29,30,31.  This will give them a chance to come when the classroom only has three or four friends and the child can become familiar with the classroom with more one on one attention.  September 6th is the first full day of school for all the children with the hours of 8 am until 2:30 pm (doors open at 7:45 am).  After September 6th we will be coming to school five days a week.

What will my child need for school?

Your child will need a complete change of clothes we will keep in their cubbie for accidents.  They will need a small toddler sized blanket for nap - it you do not have a toddler sized blanket, a large towel will also work.  We will send this home each Friday for you to launder over the weekend and send back on Monday.  Each day please send a snack in your child's bookbag.  You can order breakfast and lunch from the school each day or you can send it in a lunch box if they prefer food from home.  You will have a menu in advance to see what will be served.  If your child is not potty trained, please send in diapers or pull ups along with wipes.

Current lesson plan: Friends and classroom routines

Getting to know my friends in my classroom.  We will be learning each others names and ages along with classroom routines.
